Today was another day of regattas with the Classic Yacht race by rigging type, that is the configuration of masts and sails, from full-rigged ships to sailboats. Rigging is the mechanical apparatus attached to the hull through which the force of the wind is used to propel sailboats, including masts, yards, sails and cordage. The magnificent sailboats were on the sea with just enough wind to inflate the sails. Tuiga (1909), Mariska (1908), Hispania (1909) and The Lady Anne (1912) founded the ’15 Meter Class Association”, surely the world’s most elite club with just four members who enjoy a common training program, races run in real time without the constraints fo a rating, and their own course.
