On Thursday, July 31 a privileged few were invited to the inauguration of the 200m2 ASM Monaco Football Store at the foot of the Apolline gardens in the Principality, in the presence of HSH Prince Albert. It was a rare treat to meet all the players and their new trainer Leonard Jardim who joined the Prince in the inaugural visit of the store. Fans outside the privatized area were able to take photos of the players with their iPhones, with the most photographed being Colombian striker Falcao and Andy-Garcia-look-alike Dimitar Berbatov.

Emirates Cup and first match of League 1

The Monaco team will be wearing their new Blue uniform in London during this weekend to play in the Emirates Cup. It will be the Monegasques’ debut in the competition against Valencia who have played once before in the inaugural edition. Both teams expect to do well against top opposition as they prepare for the start of their respective League season. Monaco will then be facing Arsenal on Sunday, August 3. The Monegasques will be playing without the Colombian star James Rodriguez who was recently transferred to Real Madrid for a price the club could not resist, but will count on his countryman Falcao who should now be in top form.
