Enjoying lunch with superfood chef Naomi
Friend and health food proponent Naomi Buff, from Naomi’s Kitchen, recently invited me for a nice girl’s lunch at BeefBar in Monaco to taste her health-giving menu option. She is a passionate superfood chef, kitchen consultant and health coach living in the Principality, and she wanted me to taste some of her yummy dishes included in the menu. As her last name corroborates, Naomi happens to be very knowledgeable in this area, and funny enough the definition of “buff” is someone who knows a lot about a particular subject. She certainly gives justice to her name!
People frequent BeefBar, one of the restaurants belonging to the Giraudi Group, mainly for the quality of their meats, but with the help of food consultant Naomi, their menu now include a few “health-giving” options.
Our appetizing and healthy lunch consisted of:
- Zucchini tagliatelle with sun dried tomatoes pesto
- Quinoa sprouts, avocado, pomegranate, coriander & Baby spinach salad, hazelnuts and fresh goat cheese
- Detox juice (spinach, cucumber, apple, lemon)
- Tofu mousse, coconut & lemon
It goes without saying that the dishes were colorful, with lots of different flavors and very light. You can recognise them by two little leaves logo besides them. So, next time my husband enjoys an attractive Beef Wellington I will be able to order the vegetarian menu, or even persuade him to order it too! You will also find Naomi’s healthy dishes in the lunch and dinner menus of both Mozza and Le Bouchon. You will recognise them by the leaf logo beside them.
