Nursery school in South Africa built thanks to Monaco’s Government contribution received excellence award

Mickey Mouse nursery becomes an example for the country

In 2010, the Monaco Government, in partnership with the Social Development Department of the Western Cape Province in South Africa, contributed to the construction and equipment of the nursery school Mickey Mouse in Swelledam, attended each year by 240 little children from 2 to 5 years old.

The school has been recognized as a center of excellence during the South African Early Childhood Development (ECD) Awards 2015, thanks to the quality of the education and childcare, provided in a secure and stimulating environment. This high distinction makes of this institution an example for the country.

The ECD Awards are an initiative of the South African National Development Agency, in partnership with government institutions tied to education, small children and social development, as well as UNICEF.
