Top tennis pros at the Monte-Carlo Country Club April 9-17, 2016
The presentation of the anticipated 2016 edition of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters took place on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, in the America Salon of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel, in the presence of distinguished personalities, the media and tournament partners.
The highly anticipated ATP World Tour Masters 1000 competition, the first major of the European season on clay, will run from April 9 through 17 at the legendary Monte-Carlo Country Club (MCC), perfectly organized by the highly professional Monegasque enterprise SMETT. More than 600 women and men will compose the troupe being recruited each year by Adecco, who will work before, during and after the tournament, a gigantic undertaking. Plus 80 ball boys and girls who will be recruited at the MCCC during the first fortnight in March.
During lunch and in the presence of Belgian tennis pro David Goffin, classified 16th by the ATP, and finalist of the Davis Cup 2015, Zeljko Franulovic, Tournament Director unveiled the plans for the 110th edition and presented in exclusivity the new flyer of the tournament, designed by British Andrew Davidson, a talented artist who produced the other six latest announcements.

“ Last year we benefited again of an exceptional list of players with the participation of ten of the first world tennis pros including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The 2015 edition confirmed the dominance of the insatiable Novak Djokovic on the circuit. He won his 12th title in three years in Monaco by upsetting Berdych in three sets in a match interrupted midway due to rain. After that, the World Number 1 confirmed he was in top form by adding to his impressive record of achievements, the Wimbledon title, the US Open, the London Masters, and a few days ago, a new sacred Australian Open. What a champion! ”, Zeljko Franulovic commented.
The official list of players registered for the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 2016 will be available from March 15, 2016 that will surely include the majority of the top player in the ATP singles ranking. Keep tuned for updated information!
The official launching of the 110th edition and the draw will take place at the emblematic Oceanographic Museum of Monaco on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12h00. As it is customary the winner of the 2015 tournament Novak Djokovic should be the guest of honour.
Away from the courts it will be also very festive, starting with the Launch Party at restaurant Zelo’s on Saturday, April 9 in the evening in the presence of the players, without forgetting the traditional Grande Nuit du Tennis on Friday, April 15 at the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting in Monte-Carlo.
