Frankie offers new computers for the use of hospitalized children in the region

€ 45,000 in data processing material donated to hospitals

On Thursday, March 10, 2016, the Monegasque charity association Les Enfants de Frankie (Frankie’s Children) with the generous financial support of Experian Monaco, global leader in data processing, delivered new computers for the exclusive use of disabled children, or those on dialyses treatment or long hospital stays, at the EEAP Henri Germain of Nice/Fondation Lenval, Archet II of Nice, and Antibes-Juan Les Pins Hospitals. The material will become property of those institutions but for the use of the children.

This campaign that took a year of work to be accomplished, is one of the many projects carried out by Les Enfants de Frankie to aid children in need. Francien Giraudi, President of Les Enfants de Frankie, delivered the first computers and was accompanied by Stephanie Simpson (Communications at Fondation Lenval), Violaine Delponte (Charity Committee of Experian Monaco), Patrick Pulice (Director of Experian Monaco), Clothilde Da Rocha (both Therapists at EEAP Henri Germain of Nice) and Maia Florence (Health center at EEAP Henri Germain).

This generous donation, amounting to a total of 45,000 Euros, will complete the IT infrastructure of those institutions and will be made available to the children. Computers equipped with Grid-pad software, 19 touchpads, 14 portable computers, reading lights, bed computer bases, webcam, audio-casket, DVD player, USB key, nothing was left to chance to accompany the therapists in their daily mission and help the little patients not to be excluded from school education and social life. The daily life of sick children is fragmented by those moments dedicated to treatments and cures, and hospital stays interrupt schooling and causes fatigue, suffering and isolation with the consequent demotivation, so the use of computers offers entertainment and a needed link to the outside world.

The Princess Grace Hospital of Monaco also benefited from this operation and will receive two desktop computers for the Resting area of their paediatric service.

You can also help by making a donation by visiting the site of Les Enfants de Frankie, and bring smiles where there were tears. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
