A Made-in-Monaco salon with international scope

Official poster of EAF Monaco 2016For its 6th edition, the salon Point Art Monaco was renamed European Art Fair Monaco (EAF) returning for the second year in a row to the Grimaldi Forum from July 20-24, 2016, under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Point Art Monaco was created in 2004, as a proud successor of the Biennale of Antiquaries of Monaco (1975), before forming the present group of economic interest (GIE) that was at the origin of the salon inaugurated in 2011 at the now evanished art deco Sporting D’Hiver of Monte-Carlo. Under the administration of Marietta Vinci-Corsini, GIE Point Art Monaco constituted the present Organizing Committee bringing together four distinguished art merchants owners of prominent galleries based in the Principality: Marieta Vinci-Corsini (Maison d’Art), Adriano Ribolzi (Galerie Adriano Ribolzi), Alfredo Pallesi (Pallesi Art Gallery), and Louis Toninelli (M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne). That is the reason we can affirm that EAFMonaco is a “Made-in-Monaco” salon with an international scope.

The collaborative effort of the four Monegasque galleries is aimed at capitalizing the salon’s glorious past while developing a new enhanced image. EAFMonaco is a specialized art fair in the heart of the artistic activity in the Riviera and he larger space at the Grimaldi Forum allows to accommodate around thirty international exhibitors in the middle of the summer season with works representing fine arts, from old to modern art (painting, sculpture and works on paper), the decorative arts (period objects and collector’s items) as well as fine jewelry, with the participation of Jewels of the World, under the helm of Valentina Vassileva, who has been working for fairs specializing in art and luxury for over two decades.

Art historian and critic for over twenty years, Siegmann began his career as an editor at Artcurial before becoming assistant curator at UNESCO. Siegmann was also the general curator of the Marrakesh Art Fair in 2010 and 2011. Furthermore, he is also an accomplished art journalist and author of several art books.

Absolutely nothing has been left to chance, as EAF-Monaco additionally has and Advisory Committee of illustrious members who rank among the world leaders in old and modern art dealers.

Two important art events for the price of one

EAFMonaco is open to art lovers, and its mission is to promote the best of what humanity has beautifully created since the existence of art, thus presenting a very selective and prestigious offer, to the attention of the greatest collectors and international museums. This year EAFMonaco, scheduled from July 20-24, 2016, will run parallel to the anticipated exhibition of Francis Bacon Monaco et la Culture Francaise from July 2-September 4, 2016, also at the Grimaldi Forum.
