Graffiti live performance coming to the streets of Monaco mid summer

Urban Painting Around the World first edition

In the midst of a hot Mediterranean summer, the Principality will welcome nine internationally renowned street artists for a 2-day art extravaganza during the first edition of Urban Painting Around the World (UPAW), on the Quai Albert 1er, Port of Monaco, from July 15-16, 2017, under the theme “Protection of the Oceans”.

This innovative art event, brainchild of Alberto Colman, is organized by WSM Events and the Wizart Agency, in close collaboration with Willem Speerstra who opened the Speerstra Gallery in 1984, a contemporary art collector from The Netherlands who specialises in graffiti and post graffiti artists, and the support of the Monaco Town Hall, the Tourism Office (DTC) and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

Artcurial specialized in contemporary art and initiated the first auctions of graffiti art in Paris back in 2006.

Additionally, the new collection of Tumi bags will be decorated by the artists using the theme of this first UPAW edition.
