Prince Albert presented lifetime award to Didier Deschamps at 29th grand cru edition of SPORTEL Monaco

Sportel 2018 run in the Principality from October 22-24, placed under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), uniting the elite of the International Sports Marketing and Media Industry at the Grimaldi Forum, under the leadership of CEO Laurent Puons, CEO and Managing Director Amparo Di Fede.

The 2018 grand cru edition of SPORTELMonaco attracted a total of 3,026 delegates and 968 companies representing 78 countries, asserting to its continuous success. The event keeps expanding while innovating and adapting to changes in the marketplace, welcoming new media as well as the e-sport sector.

Sport shines at Golden Podium Awards

It was a memorable experience to attend once again the SPORTEL Awards Ceremony, on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, under the Honorary Presidency of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, and the Patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The event was hosted by no other than commentator extraordinaire Marc Maury. The event honored the winners of the Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Competition and Renaud de Laborderie Sports Book Competition. They respectively recognize the world most beautiful and breathtaking sports sequences of the year, and the best illustrated sport books, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert, Olympic Champions, International sports celebrities, and sports fans.

A prestigious Jury composed of sport and media industries personalities had a tough time selecting the recipients of the Golden Podium Trophy, an original piece created by Raymond Moretti, among the many high quality submissions.

The overall message of this highly anticipated ceremony were of sport as a means for peace, gender equality, endurance and hope.
