A paradise for gourmet lovers
From November 29 to December 2, 2019, the Chapiteau de Fontvieille will be transformed into a giant gourmet market during the 24th edition of the Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Fair, organized by the Caroli Group. It is an irresistible invitation to the pleasures of the table. This exhibition of the best from the European gastronomy offers connoisseurs and amateurs a selection of high quality products, representing each region, just in time for Christmas and the end of year celebrations.
Highlights of the fair
The many culinary demonstrations will be performed every day by top chefs from Monaco and the Côte d’Azur, allowing visitors to discover the secret of their prestigious recipes. They will be broadcast live on the fair’s Facebook page.
The Second edition of the Maestro Chef competition, reserved for 8 amateur cooks will take place from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1 with the final scheduled from 12:00 to 14:45. Chefs will unveil a different recipe each day. This contest, that was a great success last year with both participants and the public at large, is organized in collaboration with the Association Monaco Goût et Saveurs, and under the guidance of a jury composed of ten chefs and the winner of the first edition.
Important competitions will take place during the fair. The Slow Food contest: the Slow Food Riviera Côte d’Azur Awards and the Special Jury Prize will be presented to exhibitors praising quality, originality and innovation of their products. These prizes are also valuable “buying guides” for visitors, assured of the excellence of the labeled products. The Awards ceremony will be on Friday, November 29 at 17:30.
Award ceremony by the “Monaco Observer” of the contest for the best Monegasque addresses. A competition was launched in April through an advertising campaign in Monaco. The vote was done via social networks for the best Monegasque address for the best barbajuan, coffee, bakery, aperitif, etc. The awards will be presented on Saturday, November 30 at 19:00 at the Caroli stand.

In addition, as every year, several important associations will actively participate in the show: Monaco Taste and Flavors, Slow Food Monaco Riviera Côte d’Azur, the Association of Masters of Italian and French Hotels, the Monegasque Association of Sommeliers, the Association of the Monegasque Hotel Industry, the National Academy of Cuisine of Nice.
Under the Chapiteau de Fontvieille, a gastronomic journey will welcome connoisseurs and amateurs who will be able to taste and buy all kind of delicacies, such as truffles, caviar, chocolates, sweets, cheeses, organic products from all regions of France and Europe, jams, champagnes, Armagnac , wines, liqueurs from France, Italy and Europe coming directly from their producers. A raffle will be organized on Monday, November 2 at 13:30 & 17:00, with the possibility of winning lots with exhibitors’ products.
