Organized by the Monaco Company for the Operation of the Tennis Tournament (S.M.E.T.T.), the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first European tournament in the category of ATP Masters 1000.

The 2020 edition will kick off with the current titleholder, ATP 11 Italian Fabio Fognini, at the official draw on the terraces of the Thermes Marins of Monte-Carlo, Friday, April 10, at 18:30.

After recalling the highlights of the previous edition, the Tournament Director announced that ATP awarded the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters “the Award of Excellence for the most improved venue in 2019”. This award recognizes the entire new infrastructure that was launched last year, and an attendance of 135,656 spectators.

As for the players, Zeljko Franulovic specifies: “alongside the world No. 1 and No. 2 Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal (winner of 11 out of 15 previous editions) already registered, we will welcome the best world players as every year. The final official list will be available on our website from March 19 ”.

We expect the NextGen to be represented with Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Thiem, and others, ready to pick up the torch from the renowned top 3 seeded players. As for Roger Federer ATP No. 3, Franulovic always reserves a wild card for the Swiss.

A mini-tennis exhibition will be given on Saturday, April 11, in the new gardens of Casino Square with the two best players of the tournament.
