Solidarity Backpack drive second edition
On Saturday, July 1 from 10:00 to 13:30 Stars’n’Bars will be receiving all used school bags still in good condition and clean, to be donated to the association Les Enfants de Frankie for them to distribute to the children they support beginning of September at the start of the school season. This is the second edition of “Donate Your Old School Bag” campaign, and your participation will contribute to its success!
This solidarity campaign created jointly by Click Monaco, the Association Les Enfants de Frankie and the Restaurant Stars’n’Bars, has a double important meaning, because not only those donations will bring smiles to so many underprivileged children, but it is also a recycling initiative thus reducing waste in our dear planet.
Didier Rubio, co-founder of Stars’n’Bars is impatient emphasizing that “When we see the charbon imprint needed to make a school bag, and that we get rid of it after only one year, and when we know that other children don’t have them, I found this idea fantastic, and I regret we did not do it years ago.”
